Should we let little kids win at board games and such, or should we play fair?
For example, if you’re playing a Game of Matching with a small child, should we let them win (by purposely looking over a match), or should we play fair? If we play fair, is it an advantage for us? Does it differ with age? What is your opinion on this? Most insightful answer gets the 10 points.
Edit:I’m very sorry,I rambled on and didn’t answer your main question. So the main question is,should we let little kids win,or play fair?Well, its your choice. You can let them lose so they will try harder and learn more about the game,or you can let them win and in some way they will learn more about the game and want to play more.
It depends on how old they are.I’m 17 and my little brother who is 7 likes to play board games with me.He is 7,and not to be a jerk, but he is not that smart…well..yet.So,I sometimes let him win just so he can feel good.Plus,it wouldn’t be right going all out and being serious in game with a 7 year old.He would always lose if I did that.Whenever I’m playing with a small child or someone I know who is not very good at the game/or is their first time playing,I will play and try not to care about the game, but if I’m playing with someone equal to me or better,I’ll play serious.
